Heavily influenced by the North and South American dark death metal masters, Pathetic aims to create harsh and provocative music unique to themselves. Their forthcoming debut full length, Rat King, is no exception. The 10 infernal numbers of this album demonstrate the spirit of the unholy figures. To double the intensity, the Canadian trio maliciously discharged their d-beat inspirations onto the crafted death metal offerings. Apart from dealing with various dark topics, some parts of this opus picture ancient mythological and frightful folkloric matters such as Hamatsa, Rat King and Shetani.
Rat King is slated for worldwide release this July 12th digitally and on CD.

Natural born losers
A womb of filth
Creations hell
Wastes of skin
A world within
Toxic recharge
Through flesh to bone
A needle drips
A soul eclipsed
Content with dying
Continue to feed,
Criminal possession
Poison obsessions
From the gutters of hell
zombified and sick,
In a deathly search for a hit.
Get shanked in your back
for a gram of meth and crack
In the middle of the night
over you with a knife
Willing to take your life,
A path to the grave
Struggle and strife
Raped and neglected
An inconvenient truth
A negative vortex
sucks them in and through
Still born babies
And violent disputes
A life not worth living
Not for me or you

Decent album from a band that has continued to grow and develop their own signature sound. The album 'Coming for you soul' released in 2019 is well worth a listen. I wish this band well, and every success. Fraz
The Alberta crushers hold tight to their rank, astral-gazing grindcore, staring down abyssal torment all the while. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 31, 2020

Excellent blackened death metal with some old school thrash vibes coming through. Production is on point, song structure is satisfyingly unique and there are some decent solos to crystallise the greatness. Fraz
